* Vacation Bible School: The Great Jungle Journey is coming up this summer and we will need lots of help! If you are interested in volunteering to be part of the 2024 VBS Team contact Amanda Mercer or Heather Smith with any questions.
* Ignite Youth Leaders Meeting will be Sunday, April 28th immediately following service. Lunch will be provided. If you are involved in Nursery, Children’s Church, Ignite Sunday Night, or is you would like to be, please be there! If you have questions, see Amanda Mercer.
* In celebration of Older Americans Month, Duplin County Senior Services invites all “seniors” in Duplin County to the Duplin Events Center on May 1, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for it’s annual “Senior Fun Day Event”.
* FWB Children’s Home Home Run 5K-May 4th at the Free Will Baptist Children’s Home in Middlesex. See registration forms located on the information table in the foyer.
* Seniors for Christ will be going to the Country Barn on May 9th. Please sign up in the foyer of the church if you would like to go and/or ride the van. Please be at the church at 9:30 if you plan to ride the van. See Deborah Mobley or Marsha Jones for your lunch order form and be prepared to pay $10.79 a the time you order.
* Pathway Church is hosting a Meals for Miley Benefit on May 10th and has asked that we donate wrapped cake slices for the plates. We will deliver cake slices to Pathway on May 9th. If anyone would like to order plates to support the benefit, there are order forms on the information table in the foyer or you can click on the online link on the facebook post we shared on the Sandy Plain Facebook page. Also, if anyone would like to volunteer to pack and/or deliver plates, please see Amanda Mercer.
* Women’s Retreat at Camp Vandemere will be June 3rd-June 6th. The theme will be EENY, MEENY, MINY, MOE. Linda Herring will be the speaker. The cost is $110 and can be paid when you arrive. We would like to encourage our ladies to come and be a part. If you have questions, please see Ms. Judy Kennedy.
* True Grit at Camp Vandemere will be June 7th-9th. If you are a boy in the 6th grade through high school and are interested in going, please sign up in the foyer of the church.
* NC School of Gospel Music: Night classes will be June 23-27 for adults all ages. Day School will be June 24-28 for 1st grade & up. See Pam Kennedy or Lora Hall for questions or go online to register at NC School of Gospel Music.
* Nursery workers needed: If you are interested in helping with the Nursery, please contact Lisa Houston by phone or text at 910-934-3928.
